Honest Assessment: Repair or Replace?
We'll tell you honestly whether your pump needs repair or replacement. A pump over 7–8 years old that's having issues is often better replaced than repaired. A newer pump with a specific component failure can often be repaired economically.
Common repairable issues include stuck or improperly adjusted float switches, failed check valves that allow backflow, blocked intake screens, and discharge line problems. Motor failures in older pumps typically warrant replacement.
